For many decades histopathology is the main techniques used to diagnose fish diseases that have been now combined with microbiological examinations coupled with molecular techniques like Real-Time qPCR. As the many health problems faced by the industry is manifested by multifactorial etiological origin, those techniques need to be combined for a comprehensive analysis of disease progression and relevant tissue damage where available treatment could be varied.
